Asalam-o-Alaikum Everyone !
Who doesn't dig for a nice healthy glowy look ?
I am here with a review of the much raved TheBalm Mary-Lou Manzier, lets see if it can give that healthy glow ?
What TheBalm has to say about it:
Meet Mary-Lou Manizer, a seemingly innocent honey-hued luminizer that catches everybody's eye. This highlighter, shadow and shimmer diffuses light so your skin looks softer and younger while adding a subtle glow.
I LOVE the packaging it's so chic, girly and cute ! It comes in a plastic compact that doesn't feel flimsy. It comes with an inbuilt mirror which is a plus (^_^).
I'd give packaging a 9/10 just because the product is very fragile and breaks very easily, only if they improve the packaging a bit in way that the product stays safe inside.
Texture Pigmentation & Staying Power:
Mary-Lou is a pale golden - champagne-y highlighter which looks beautiful on our desi skintones. The texture is very buttery soft and smooth. It blends like a DREAM ! It's PACKED with pigmentation, so you need to be very careful while applying it AS A LITTLE GOES LONG WAY. It has vo visible glitter. The shimmer is so finely milled that it gives such a nice subtle glow to your face <3 *I LOVE IT* !
I personally like to apply it with my ELF Studio Tapered Brush on the high points of my face like my cheek bones, bridge of my nose, below my eyebrows, inner corner of my eye & cupid's bow. The application is a bit tricky if you apply it the wrong way or apply too much you'll end up looking like an oil slick, so the best bet is using a tapered brush or a fluffy blush and use a little at first and then build it up.
The staying power is impressive, it stays for about a good 5 hours on me.
I'd give it a 10/10 for texture, pigmentation & staying power.
I got mine directly from their website here: TheBalm
